The Caltech Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects serves as the Institutonal Review Board (IRB) as required by Federal Regulations. The committee is established to assure the protection of human subjects in research projects. It is composed of members from the academic, scientific disciplines, the medical profession and representatives from the community.
